KAIEM — Independent Bag Brand E-commerce Website, UX/UI Design and Development

A minimal e-commerce website structured around a icon system

Kaiem is an independent bag brand founded by Kim Lissy, who designs and produces every piece by hand in Switzerland using Swiss deadstock textiles. The label needed its first website to support its launch and enable online sales, a digital presence able to feel as specific as the materials, while remaining commercially functional for a small label.

Parc designed and developed a minimal e-commerce site structured around a custom system of vector icons, one per bag silhouette. The icons act as both navigation and product markers. Rather than relying on conventional product grids, the experience uses these icons to guide browsing through the collection in a more graphic, recognisable way.

The site is divided into WORN and SHOP. WORN presents editorial imagery of the bags in use, with the corresponding icon highlighted in the interface. In SHOP, the icons become the navigation, lighting up as users move through the collection. Each product opens a pre-filled inquiry email rather than a standard checkout.

The Antique Legacy typeface by François Rappo (Optimo), drawn from the brand's identity by Lou Rais, anchors the interface in a Swiss design sensibility. Color stays inside the imagery so the vibrant deadstock fabrics carry the visual energy of the site, giving Kaiem a digital platform aligned with its production logic.
